Immensely detailed photo of a television set exploding in mid-air. As is the case with the other images in the Personal Effects series, this image is comprised of thousands of man hours creating a lifelike explosion sculpture of an actual tv set. This device was the mainstay of our living room when I moved in with my girlfriend and was our primary connection to news and global events in our lives. Now that this old medium has been replaced by mobile screens and an internet connection, one can look back at a time when the TV was the central device that brought people together to consume information and culture.
This work can be printed up to 200 x 200 cm. Please see the series overview and synopsis here.
